Nauru’s history centres around the wealth of phosphate deposit that was discovered in the 1800’s. The mining of the island by foreigners is evident today. Views of pinnacles remaining inland and on the outskirt of Nauru is a familiar site, an icon that reminds young and old of Nauru’s history.
The external texture of pinnacle rocks are hard and rough leaving a footprint of all the mining that took place in the past couple of decades. Inside a pinnacle rock however, if one is able to break it open is a marble like texture of combination of different colors. It is beyond beautiful and a hidden treasure. The texture is naturally so smooth yet strong and not breakable. It is the core of the pinnacle and hidden within is the beauty of diversified natural colours with hidden values.
The work of Human Resource Division is that of a pinnacle. In executing her duties in impartial and fair manners, it leaves an impression of a service that may be non-compromising on the outset. However, at the core of her services, it serves diversified groups of employees, different departments (different colours) and at the core is strong in keeping all intact. HR operates at the centre of Government, and is the core of work in Government, delivering service to the 1200 plus employees that serves the public through different Government Departments.
