About Us
The HR Division is made up of a total of 22 employees working under the leadership of the Secretary for Corporate Services, Ms. Peta Gadabu.
There are five key managers leading the main units of the HR Division and they are:
- Policy and Planning Unit – Darice Bari, Policy and Planning Manager
- Recruitment and Contract Unit – Clarissa Scotty, Recruitment and Contract Manager
- Salary and Employees Benefit Unit – Allyson Reiyetsi, Payroll Manager
- Training and Development Unit – Jana Jeremiah, Training and Development Manager
- Budget and Organisational Structure Unit – Li-june Itsimaera, Manager
The HR Division works to uphold the Public Service values stipulated under the Public Service Act. These values includes operating in an impartial and politically neutral environment, delivering services on a merit based principle, delivering frank and honest advise at all times and treating all employees in a fair and transparent manner.
HR division strives to align all work under the division to the overall NSDS vision which is to ultimately contribute to Nauruan’s enjoyment of an improved quality of life and standard of living.
HR values meaningful and sustained relationship with all members of the public. As such, HR is committed to strengthening relationship with Heads of Departments as well as community leaders as HR fosters and support diversity and inclusivity within the public service.
HR stives to ensure that policies are in place to recgonise the values of each and every employee as they all work in unity for the betterment of Nauru.
There are 26 Government Departments at present hosting approximately 1500 public employees.
