The Human Resource Division is currently operated by twenty-two (22) employees under the Supervision of the Secretary for Corporate Services, Mr. Giedo Garabwan and the Human Resource Director, Mr. Marcus Aremwa.

There are five (5) key managers leading the main units within the Division and they are;

• Mrs. Jana Jeremiah – Manager for Policy & Planning Unit
• Mrs. Milli Namaduk – Manager for Recruitment & Employment Contract Unit
• Ms. Allyson Reiyetsi – Manager for Salaries, Entitlements & Benefits Unit
• Ms. Oxyna Gobure – Manager for Training & Employee Relations Unit
• Mrs. Myown Vicka Maaki– Acting Manager for Budget & HR Systems Administrator Unit

The HR Division acts as a central pillar for ensuring the Public Service upholds the values stipulated under the Public Service Act, which include operating in an impartial and politically neutral environment, delivering services on a merit-based principle, delivering frank and honest advice at all times, and treating all employees in a fair and transparent manner.

We strive to ensure that Policies are in place to recognize the values of each and every employee as they all work in unity for the betterment of Nauru. On top of that, to align all work under the Division to the overall National Sustainable Development Strategy (NSDS) 2019 – 2030 vision which is to ultimately contribute to the Nauruan’s enjoyment of an improved quality of life and standard of living. 

There are currently twenty-six (26) Departments within the Government of the Republic of Nauru hosting approximately one-thousand-five-hundred (1,500) Public Servants, and as HR, we value the meaningful and sustained relationship with all members of the Public Service. As such, we are committed in strengthening relationships with the Head of Departments along with the Community Leaders as HR fosters, and support diversity and inclusivity within the Public Service.
